The 40’s: an era of sultry, yet feminine fashions; clothing that implicated curves-without being raunchy- and colors that sought revenge on previous black and white films.  The following is the forties (4 Ts) as we remember it to be:
Trend Forties:
  1. Trinkets that are Vintage: A Brooch, faux pearls, pins, and glass colored beads, furs, and gloves, are all factors of forties fashion
  2. Tapered at the Knee or Waist : The pencil skirt, in a bold color, should touch the tip of the knee with the deep V loosely fitted top, cinched at the waist
  3. Toe Peep: Late 40’s after the war, freedom was in the air, and toes came out to play with peep toe shoes
  4. Trousers Pants: The wide leg pants (high waist preferably), says full length glamor
