Fearless and Floor Length | Fall 2011 Trends
Floor length fashions have been popping up on runways around the globe and are definitely a huge staple in Korto’s Fall 2011 collection.
This look is easy to achieve and can be dressed up like many celebs do with floor length shimmering red carpet gowns, or it can be dressed down for a breezy street-chic look. Either way, it’s impossible not to feel like a goddess as you walk around with your gorgeous floor length frock flowing behind you.
If you haven’t already experimented with this Fall trend, it’s easy and fun to give it a try, and yes, it can be worn by anyone (even for you petite ladies, you just have to choose the right length for your body type).
- For the shorter girls out there, choose a maxi dress or skirt that falls a few inches above floor length, that way you can pair it with a bright pair of heels that peek out just enough to give a colorful surprise twist to your outfit
- No matter what your body type, make sure you use balance. No we’re not talking about balancing on those 5 inch stilettos we were just talking about, but balancing out the proportions of your outfit. Pair your floor length skirt with a tighter fitting top, or a cropped jacket that falls at your natural waist. Too much long and flowy will only hide your figure making you look bulky, and defeating the whole purpose of the look.
- Take a risk with your maxi dress or skirt! Fashion is for the fearless. Combine other Fall trends with your maxi skirt and go for the color blocking look, or go a little more understated with your outfit and dress it up with a bold “look at me” necklace.
